Laneige Water Base CC Cream #Peach Pink Review ♥
_
Today's review will be about the Laneige Water Base CC Cream I ordered from IBuyBeauti a few weeks ago. You can buy it here for $34.99 and Free Safe Worldwide Shipping. I really wanted to try a CC Cream because of the big hype going around and this product is water-based and a CC cream. So I was really interested in it from the start I heard about it~!
Let's start~!

Product Information:
My package arrived after about 2 weeks which is normal. The package was completely pink which made me fangirl for a while because it's so adorable~! They also send me this little 'Thank You' card and 2 samples.
One thing that bothered me a lot was that a kink was on the packaging of the CC Cream even when it was packed in bubble wrap. It's still a mystery to me how that could happen but maybe it was there from the beginning? It's just a kink nothing dramatic but it's just like a pet peeve for me I guess.

There are 2 shades available:
Peach Pink : Expressing vividly brightening skin
Pure Beige : Expressing warm & soft skin
I didn't know which to buy first but I choosed Peach Pink because I really wanted my skin to look brightened up.

Here are a few photos of the packaging:
The packaging has a elegant silver color (乂╯▽╰)

The kink is driving me nuts ;o;

**click on the photos to see the big version~!!

The tube is white and got a really plain design but I think it looks really high-quality and nice with it. It contains 40 ml which is alot in my opinion. I think this CC Cream will last me a really long time~

This CC Cream has a pump. You'll have to push it down for the product to come out. I like it alot because it will be more hygienic that way and you can regulate the right amount you want easily. I personally hate jars with a passion lol

I made a coverage test to see how good the coverage is. Since you can use BB Cream with it if you need more coverage I tried that on my arm too. I used a liptint to represent rednesses and a black eyeliner line for acne scars, blackheads etc. ~
As you can see above the coverage of the CC Cream alone is really poor and light but it's okay because CC Creams aren't suppose to have good coverage it's just to even out skintone. The coverage with the BB Cream is okay in my opinion. It's light coverage. It does reduce rednesses and acne scars but they're still visible. I think you can also use several coats if you want more coverage. If you aready have fair and nice skin the coverage will be enough but if you have acne prone skin you will have to use BB Cream and concealer on it too~ I wouldn't recommend it to acne prone skin though.

Oil control test:
I also did an oil test to see if this product does really contain zero oil and is 100% water-based. I placed a little bit of the product on a piece of paper and waited for an hour.
As the result shows, you can see that there is actually oil in it! But I think it's from other ingredients. I forgot to take a picture of it but when it was already night (after about 6 hours I started the oil test) there was A LOT of oil around the little dot and the dot was dried out. There was more oil than with my Missha Perfect Cover & the Holika Holika Petite BB Cream. It's kinda weird and a bit dissapointing to see that @_@^
BUT when I was wearing it, it didn't make me look oily at all! I think it made me look less oily by alot! My skin wasn't as oily as when I was wearing my Holika Holika BB cream~! That was a really nice surprise hehe.

Blending:
~applied onto skin~
I noticed that this CC Cream doesn't have those little gray particles in it like most CC Creams do!

~slightly spread~

~slightly blended~

blended
Well, you can see that my skin does glow more than before. It's not that visible on the picture but in real life it's visible~! It's really easy to blend and it does really give you a natural nude look and is a good base primer before you apply BB Cream. I does also contain SPF 36 PA++ which is nice too. The consistency is just like a moisurizer. I really like the smell of this product! It smells like a fresh flower fragrance~
It does brightens my face! My friends and my family told me that I look fresher, whiter and more natural than usually ^-^*
What I really like about this CC Cream is that it looks really natural and I like to keep it as natural as possible!

Coverage: The coverage isn't good but you can still use BB Cream over it. It's a nice primer though. It has a bit coverage even though it doesn't have to have coverage because it's just to even out skincolor.

Oil control: It doesn't make me look like a shiny monster even after 7 hours without a finish powder ( I don't live in a humid country ). I have combination-oily skin which tends to be shiny after about 6 hours with BB Cream. So I think the oil control is good and doesn't make it worse like over products do.

Scent: I LOVE the scent ♥ It's a really nice and fresh flower fragrance~! It may be horrible for people who don't like those typical flower fragrances.

Overall

I really love this product and I would repurchase it! The coverage isn't great but you can use BB Cream over it if you need more coverage. It makes my skin look really natural and it brightens up my face alot too so that's a really big plus point for me. The oil control isn't as bad as I expected it to be too~! This product may be expensive but it's worth it every penny in my  opinion huehue *-*

I would recommend this to people who already have a fair and nice skin because it feels like a moisturizer which brightens up your skin and has a little coverage.
I wouldn't recommend it to people with acne prone skin who need a lot of coverage and hate flower fragrance haha

Have you tried this CC Cream too? Or have you heard about it or tried another CC Cream? Leave a comment below! I would love to read your experiences on other CC creams! ^~^*

wow i was really excited to see that it was water based and all the good stuff it claimed to do but super disappointed to see that it ended up being more oily than a BB! It has a very natural finish tho! Thanks for the review! ^^

Great review ^-^ Too bad I have acne problems (>_<)

Blogger Mindy said on August 1, 2013 at 1:39 AM

Well, it seems to fail the oil test more than BB crams do but it's much better on the skin than BB creams! :3
Thanks for reading my review

Blogger Mindy said on August 1, 2013 at 1:41 AM

Thanks ^-^*
You can still use this product though. The coverage is just really not that great without BB cream :o

I've never thought about getting this CC cream because I'm satisfied with my Tony Moly Aura CC Cream... but now I really want to try this! Just the fact that it's from Laneige makes me want it even more! Thanks for your detailed review, Mindy!

Blogger Donna said on August 5, 2013 at 4:32 PM

Great review Mindy! And you are right this totally reminds me of the Peripera CC cream, the colour, coverage and even packaging! But I feel that this may be better since it's from Laneige haha. Thanks for the review!

Blogger Mindy said on August 5, 2013 at 5:55 PM

Aw, thanks ♡ I think they're both pretty similiar :3 I think I should try the PeriPera CC cream out too since it isn't that expensive c: It would be a nice alternative tho. ^~^* Thank you so much for reading my review, Chee ♡ I really do appreciate it a lot!

waaah.... such a good product! I've only tried two cc cream, one from etude house and one from the skin shop. But, by seeing your review, I think laneige cc cream is better than one from etude house. gotta try this^^ thanks for the review :)

and about the primer, if you have big pores/oily skin, you might love secret pore rich balm from Lioele :) The face shop also has a nice primer (haven't tried the velvet primer though) but read so much good reviews about it.

Thanks for reading my review, Lina ♥ I'm so happy you visited my blog since you're like a role model for me ^-^* I like your reviews so much ♥ I heard a lot of good things about the primer by The Face Shop too but I don't know if it's worth a try :/

I've been stumbling upon many new blogs recently over the long weekend in my country.

Thanx for this review. I could see how much effort you put into reviewing this Laneige CC cream. It looks pretty promising and I'm those who love floral fragrance.

I haven't tried any CC cream yet but now I know that this would be one of the option on my list.

Just in case I do not check back during my hectic work week, you could drop me a note on my blog and we would definitely connect back from there. =) Enjoy the last of the weekend.

Hey! Thanks for visiting my blog! ^-^*
You should definitely choose this one as your first CC Cream because this is awesome and you won't want to try any other after this one haha I think this CC cream does give a more natural finish than all the other ones do! And you're right! I put a lot of effort in it! It was super hard to edit all those picture and it took such a long time but I guess it was worth it~! c:
I will definitely drop a note at your blog and check it out! ♥

Hey! Thanks for commenting on all my review! :) ♥ You should really try CC Creams because they're so lightweight and perfect for summer since you don't want to wear so much make up in summer ^-^*

Blogger Teti H. said on August 18, 2013 at 10:50 AM

This CC cream looks great! I am a bit worried to try CC creams as I am very pale and most of them seem to oxidize and to get dark. Very helpful review, thank you!

http://www.ai-no-storia.com/

Blogger Mindy said on August 18, 2013 at 12:28 PM

Thanks for visiting my blog ♥! You don't have to worry about that because cc creams don't oxidize and become dark! CC creams oxidize but they will match your skin tone and brighten it up so no darkening nor whitening for your already pale face~

Blogger SeoulStine said on August 23, 2013 at 3:46 AM

I've tried the Banila Co it Radiant CC Cream... it's definitely more of a base than a coverage makeup but this one looks like it might actually have a bit more coverage. Laneige is one of my favorite brands for skincare but I haven't had a chance to try their make up line yet.. so thank you so much for your review ^o^

Blogger Mindy said on August 23, 2013 at 11:14 AM

I really wanted to try the cc cream by Banila Co too but I'm currently broke xd I like them because of the natural finish :D I never tried Laneige skincare products but I only heard good things about them! I wanted to try the moisture bank or sleeping pack by Laneige but they're so expensive :c Thanks for visiting my blog, Christine~! ^o^ ♥

Blogger Makeup with a Heart said on September 9, 2013 at 3:41 PM

Thanks for the review! I've been an avid fan of bb creams for years now and am kinda curious yet hesitant about trying cc creams. This review was really nice for me since you have a similar skin type to me :) Have you tried any other cc creams and if so, which is you favorite for combination/oily skin? What skintone would you say you have and would this work for a medium skintone? Did the pink look awkward on you because I have a warm undertone and am wary about pink based products not matching my undertone >.<

Blogger Mindy said on September 9, 2013 at 4:15 PM

I have never tried any other CC creams because I don't see a need to buy more if I already have a CC Cream I really love haha ♡
Well, I have quite dark skin I must admit haha. I think I'm a NC25 or NC30 and I have a more warm undertone too but I wanted to be whiter and took this one LOL but it doesn't look awkward pink! It's just like the packages promises: no awkward chalky finish! :D
I think if you want brighter/whiter skin (look llike the model above's skin) you should go with the pink one but if you want a more natural finish (fitting to you skintone , no whitening) you should take the beige one. I think that the pink one won't look awkward because this cc cream adapts to your skin and it should be perfectly fine~
Thanks for reading my review and commenting tho~! I hope you will read this, Wendy ^-^*
