Heyho everyone~!
Today, I was planning to do a tutorial on how to achieve korean styled curls/ waves without usage of any heat at all! Additional to that, I will write a short review about the soft strawberry sponge curlers from Born Pretty Store since I used them to make this hair style!^^ I will write the review first and then tell you how to do soft curls/ waves like many korean celebrities or ulzzang nowadays have.
I already wanted to get these sponge curlers in this strawberry style for so long because I saw Jiyeon using these in Dream High 2!! That's when I started to look everywhere for these sponge curlers, I was so obsessed to own these so I was like 'HELL YES !!1!11!' when I saw them selling these on their website lol.
Okay, so this post is going to be really long so prepare and let's begin~!
Product information
Price: USD$4.08
Color: Red (strawberries)
6 pieces included
More photos of the details
When these strawberry sponges arrived they smelled so SO bad. I couldn't smell on them without getting a headache. It was like these typical chinese products, mixture out of glue and plastic. I had to put them outside and air them for a few days because the smell was unbearable!
The sponges look like strawberries (which is super cute QwQ). They have this small room in the middle to put your hair inside and roll it to make loose curls without heat over night.
You can see it proberly on the photos below~
The strawberry sponges are pretty easy to use and they will make really pretty and big curls over night. It's no problem to sleep with them too because they're like a cushion for your head when you lie on them hehe. You can see photos of the curls at the end of the post when I'm posting the finished look of the tutorial~
♥ Cute Design
♥ Affordable
♥ Easy to use
♥ Comfortable to sleep with them on

Rating
I like these strawberry sponges because of the super cute design! I mean you don't see these cute sponge curlers everyday (at least I've never seen them somewhere before). The price is pretty affordable too and it may be even cheaper when using my coupon for 10% off (I will post it at the end of this post). The only down side is that the smell after arrival is really bad and I hate it!! They're pretty easy to use and the quality is okay too. There were a few areas where the glue was visible but other than that, everything was fine. I think you will need 2 packs if you want to coil in your whole hair! ♥
Now to the Korean inspired Tutorial for Heatless Curls/Waves . . .
So this is a step-by-step tutorial on how to achieve these soft curls/waves many ulzzangs and Korean celebrities often have. I'm not a professional hairstyler but this is the way I usually do it and it works for my hair. I hope you will have fun doing this tutorial too and Let's begin~! ( ゚▽゚)/ ♪
STEP 1: Start off with slightly wet hair. Devide your hair into small and even strands. Take a strand of your hair and put it in the gap in the strawberry sponges
STEP 2: Take the strand and coil it in the strawberry sponge steadily until all your hair is in it.
STEP 3: Secure it with some bobbi pins. This is optional. I usually do it because I'm scared that they'll uncoil while I'm asleep.
STEP 4: Braid the rest of the hair. I only did this because I didn't have enough of the sponge curlers ㅠㅠ but you can coil in all your hair if you have enough of these hair sponges
STEP 5: You're done ! Leave them in over night or for around 4-6 hours
This looks super retarded lol. But the strawberry sponge curlers are so cute. /ignore my dumb face/ *slaps self*
Finished Look
OK so this is what it looked like the day after. Sorry for the awkward face OTL I look super chubby and fat on this photo /dies in embarassment/. The curls from the sponge curlers are really big and look like you made them with a curling iron while the ones from the braid look more like waves. I think the combination of both makes them look even more natural and somehow I like it more than it would be only waves or only curls~ Overall I'm pretty happy with the result and I hope you like this look too ^w^
INFO: I took the photos in daytime because the lighting is better but on the finished look photo I let them in my hair over night~!
Also, use my coupon code UNL91 for 10% off !!
Thank you Daisy for letting me try out this product ^-^
If you haven't noticed: I have a new blog layout ehehe. All these coding took such a long time eventhough I took the basecode from Karimew and just changed it a bit and added all the pages, sidebar gagdets,..etc. But it was so hard because I had to use the classic blogger template @_@ I'm currently debating wether I should make the texts in my future blog posts centered like now or on the left, what do you think? ^^;
Thank you so much for reading my review!
If you liked it please follow me and leave a comment below I would be happy to read them all!
